1. A pair registers together and plays the season together; a substitute needs the convenor's sign-off. 2. Matches are best of three games to eleven, win by two. 3. Rally scoring throughout, with a switch of ends after the first game. 4. Foot faults in the kitchen are called by the pair who saw them — this is a self-officiated ladder. 5. A pair that cannot field both players forfeits the match two games to none.
